Rotterdam, the Netherlands, 15 April 2022 – The General Meeting of Shareholders of Van Oord N.V. was held on 14 April 2022. The company’s 2021 Annual Report was presented during this meeting.
In its 2021 Annual Report, Van Oord looks back on a year of opposites. On the one hand, it was a difficult year in the light of COVID-19, market and supply chain issues and operational challenges; on the other hand, the year ended with an optimistic outlook for our markets reflected in a record-high order book. The Annual report provides an overview of the results achieved in 2021, Van Oord’s strategy and the way in which it creates value for stakeholders. Energy transition and climate change are important topics, examples of the challenges and environment in which Van Oord operates.

The annual report was produced before the crisis in Ukraine occurred. We deeply deplore the human suffering of all those directly affected. The outlook in the report might be affected. As the consequences are not yet known, we have been unable to take them into account.
