Posted on June 24, 2026

Arcadis has appointed three new leaders for Western Canada: Sahar Safaie, disaster and climate risk management specialist; Antoine Henry, senior project manager for transportation engineering; and Maren McBride, principal and landscape architect. All are based in Vancouver.

Safaie has nearly 20 years’ experience, including leading the development and design of three United Nations (UN) guidelines on risk assessments and reduction strategies and, in 2017, founding Sage On Earth Consulting to lead local, provincial and international projects. She was most recently the technical and project lead for British Columbia’s Disaster and Climate Risk and Resilience Assessment (DCRRA).

Henry has 18 years’ experience as a civil engineer, specializing in roadway and other transportation infrastructure projects, with expertise spanning project management, design leadership and construction oversight. He has led multidisciplinary teams through all stages of project delivery to integrate geometric alignment, road safety and traffic management in diverse environments, including urban, alpine and river crossings.

Finally, McBride has more than 17 years’ experience as a landscape architect, urban designer and planner, with expertise in transit-oriented developments (TODs), mixed-use communities, parks and and city-building projects. In her new role, she will focus on growing Arcadis’ integrated landscape architecture and urbanism practice across Western Canada.
