Washington, D.C. – Today, the USA Shipbuilding Coalition announced the current list of partners from both labor and industry who have joined together to urge Congress to revitalize American shipbuilding. The Coalition has already grown significantly since its inception earlier this year and expects to continue to expand its membership, as attention and the need for action grows.
“Industry and labor coming together in common purpose demonstrates the significance of this moment,” said USA Shipbuilding Coalition President Michael Wessel. “We are grateful to all our partners and proud of the advocacy that has already been done to drive attention to this critical issue. The time to act is now, and we will continue to fight to make that happen.”
The USA Shipbuilding Coalition also sent a letter today to Congress strongly urging our government to quickly act to revitalize our country’s maritime, shipbuilding and logistics capabilities to restore our maritime power and strengthen our economic and national security.
