Lido Key Beach renourishment project is complete, city says

SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) – The Lido Beach renourishment project is set to be completed May 26, the City of Sarasota announced Tuesday.

Bulldozers and heavy machinery will leave Lido Beach after three months of work, as a $12 million project to counteract erosion during the 2024 hurricane season comes to an end.

More than a mile of shoreline has been restored.
