Advisor to Governor, Khurshid Ahmed Ganai, on Friday directed the officers of the Irrigation and Flood Control Department to speed up the dredging of river Jhelum.
The direction was issue in the wake of media reports of slow pace of dredging work, an official spokesman said.
Ganai also asked the department to take necessary measures for “rectifying the fault in dredging machines.”
