Mike Hooks Awarded $34.1 Million Calcasieu River Ship Channel Dredging Contract

Mike Hooks LLC, Westlake, Louisiana, was awarded a firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging within the Calcasieu River Ship Channel and disposal within designated marsh creation areas. The amount of this action is $34,098,830 with a total cumulative face value of $36,492,037. Bids were solicited via the internet with six received. Work will be performed in Hackberry, Louisiana, with an estimated completion date of July 26, 2027. Fiscal 2023, 2024, 2025, and 2026 civil operations and maintenance funds; and fiscal 2026 Sport Fish Restoration and Boating Safety Trust funds in the amount of $34,098,830, were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, New Orleans, Louisiana, is the contracting activity (W912P8-26-C-A058).
