Gator Dredging initiates beach filling activities in Wiggins and Doctors passes utilizing the Brittyn B Ellicott 1270. This 2.2-million-dollar project is projected to last through February of 2022. The scope of work for this project will include hydraulically dredging approximately 65,100 cubic yards of organic sediment from Wiggins Pass and approximately 25,700 cubic yards from Doctors Pass. Dredged sediment from Wiggins Pass will be placed onshore at Barefoot Beach and Delnor-Wiggins State Park and dredged sediment from Doctors Pass will be placed onshore at Lowdermilk Park.
