Corps to host public information meeting for the Philpott Lake, Virginia Water Supply Reallocation Feasibility Study

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) is hosting a public information meeting to discuss the Philpott Lake, Virginia Water Supply Reallocation Feasibility Study. The meeting will be held on August 18, 2022, at the Henry County Administration Building Authority, 3300 Kings Mountain Road, Martinsville, VA and will be broadcast virtually via a Facebook Live Stream from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

WHEN/WHERE: The meeting will be held on August 18, 2022, at Henry County Administration Building, 3300 Kings Mountain Road, Martinsville, VA and will be broadcast virtually via a Facebook Live Stream from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The meetings can be accessed virtually through a live-stream on the Wilmington District’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/USACE.Wilmington.

WHAT: The Corps is seeking public comments regarding the recommendations contained in the draft report/environmental assessment.  The draft report/environmental assessment can be accessed online at “https://www.saw.usace.army.mil/Locations/District-Lakes-and-Dams/Philpott/Reallocation-Feasibility-Study/”. Once the review period closes on August 29, 2022, the Corps will respond to comments received, and incorporate comments and responses into a final report.

Comments and questions can be submitted during the meeting and will be responded to as soon as possible. If you are unable to join the live stream, the meeting will be recorded and stored on our Facebook page, where it can be viewed at any time.
