Our subsidiary, Healy Tibbitts Builders, is hard at work on the USACE Honolulu District’s maintenance dredging project at Honolulu Harbor, located on the southern coast of Oahu. Honolulu Harbor is the principal seaport of the state of Hawaii, and this project will ensure that commercial and recreational vessels can navigate the waterway, which is vital for the state’s economy.
The scope of work for Healy Tibbitts Builders includes maintenance dredging as well as upland processing, transportation and disposal. The upland portion of the work presented the opportunity to partner with our colleagues at Kiewit. Healy Tibbitts is also coordinating with the State of Hawaii DOT – Harbors Division, another long-term client of theirs, on this project. Work is slated to be completed next month.
