The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has officially awarded a $28,460,000.00 contract for the South Atlantic Division Regional Harbor Dredging Project to Great Lakes Dredge & Dock Co, LLC.
The maintenance dredging contract encompasses key navigation channels across the South Atlantic region, specifically focusing on critical operational areas including:
• Wilmington Harbor (North Carolina)
• Savannah Harbor (Georgia)
• Brunswick Harbor (Georgia)
Maintenance dredging is essential for maintaining deep-draft navigation, ensuring safe maritime transit for commercial vessels, and supporting regional economic vitality across Southeastern ports.
