The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) is expanding its technical program for the upcoming Dredging Summit & Expo ’19 in Chicago and has extended the deadline to submit abstracts until December 31, 2018.The conference will be held at the Hilton Chicago on Michigan Avenue in downtown Chicago, Illinois, from June 4 to 7. Beginning this year, WEDA is accepting a limited number of abstracts for which a full paper is not mandatory. For these sessions, presenters may submit an extended abstract (2 pages) and their PowerPoint presentations for consideration. The theme for this year’s conference is “Waves of Change: Oceans of Opportunity,” which will focus on dredging presentations with an emphasis on planning for new regulations, adjusting to new technologies, and developing a new competitive edge.
