The Town Council is expected to decide Tuesday whether to award a $16.9 million contract to Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Co. for a large-scale Phipps Ocean Park/Reach 7 beach fill and Reach 8 dune restoration.
The plan is to place 1 million cubic yards of sand from the north end of Phipps Ocean Park to the north end of Palm Beach County’s Kreusler Park, and truck-haul an additional 25,000 cubic yards to Reach 8. Bids were solicited March 29 and opened May 4.
