Silver Ships Delivered Ambar 1100 to North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District

Posted on January 31, 2024

Silver Ships delivered an Ambar 1100 (AM 1100) to North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District (NCFR) in Naples, Florida. The 36-foot fire boat is a multi-mission workboat that is being used for fast fire and emergency response, including search and rescue.

The North Collier Fire Department operates the fire boat along inland, intercoastal and gulf waters in Naples, Florida. North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District (NCFR) is dedicated to protecting lives and property while providing rapid response delivered by dedicated and caring professionals. Silver Ships’ AM 1100 will help continue NCFR’s mission through its custom design and technology to support the needs of fire and rescue.

This 36-foot workboat is powered by triple 400HP Mercury Verado outboards with Joystick Piloting that provides “360-degree control,” allowing operators to maneuver the workboat sideways, forward, backward, diagonally or spin on its own axis. The workboat features an enclosed center console and is equipped with a full search and rescue (SAR) navigation suite, including FLIR. The fire boat is also outfitted with a 1000GPM fire system that features a large-diameter hose (LDH) discharge for water supply operations, as well as emergency lighting and sirens to allow for quick and efficient fire rescue.

“Finding effective, long-term solutions to help our customers achieve their mission is what Silver Ships is committed to. The Silver Ships team custom designed and built this Ambar 1100 to best equip the North Collier Fire Control and Rescue District’s daily marine operations,” said David Hunt, Business Development team member at Silver Ships.
