DAUPHIN ISLAND, Ala. (WPMI) — The Alabama Marine Resources Division has submitted a permit application with the US Army Corps of Engineers for removal and replacement of the public boat launches on Dauphin Island.
The plan as submitted would move the boat ramps north into the channel , using fill material to extend the boat ramps and allow for safer operations along the right-of-way.
The USACE is seeking public comments on the proposed application, and they can be submitted for the next 30 days to james.e.buckelew@usace.army.mil citing project SAM-2020-01127-DCH.
