Hurricane Beryl’s storm surge destroyed the Seabreeze Park Pier in La Porte in 2024. Now, the waterfront landmark is being rebuilt with resilience in mind.
In partnership with the City of La Porte and CobbFendley, Orion is helping deliver a stronger, more durable pier designed to better withstand future coastal storms while restoring access to Galveston Bay for the community.
The project includes:
– New foundational pilings
– Upgraded Thru-Flow composite decking
– Rebuilt handrails, benches, and a cleaning station
Coastal infrastructure has to do more than look good. It has to hold up when conditions are at their worst. Projects like this help communities recover stronger and stay connected to the waterfronts that matter to them.
