GREEN BAY, Wis. – The U.S. Navy is teaming up with Northeast Wisconsin Technical College to address a need for more shipbuilders.
NWTC is receiving nearly $600,000 in grant money to promote this career, which is in high demand.
The money will be used to put on welding rodeos, and annual events to be held in Sturgeon Bay and Marinette, home to Bay Shipbuilding and Marinette Marine.
