Meet Avery, a massive 26.05 diameter, 385 foot long earth pressure balance tunnel boring machine which has completed assembly and testing at Herrenknecht AG’s facility and is currently being shipped from Germany to Cleveland for work on Weeks and Kiewit‘s joint venture, the Shoreline Storage Tunnel.
