Building on the success of the Dredging for Sustainable Infrastructure (DfSI) book, a comprehensive resource that sets out the guidelines for truly sustainable dredging projects, IADC is taking that philosophy forward by publishing a new magazine based on the book.
Intended to be more digestible with less technical and shorter articles, the new magazine will take each chapter of the book to form the foundation of an edition. Supporting articles will showcase how the theory and philosophy is put into practice, sharing with readers the real-world application of the principles of dredging for sustainable infrastructure. Complete with guest editors from the industry and engaging projects from around the world, the DFSI Magazine is set to become a valuable means of communicating the value of creating environmentally and socially sustainable projects.
The first issue of DFSI Magazine takes chapter 2 of the Dredging for Sustainable Infrastructure book as its foundation, looking at integrating dredging in sustainable development. With supporting articles on nature-based solutions in Benin, the Delta21 concept, talking heads with Lara Muller, Invest International and Pieter van Eijk, Wetlands International, a sand motor project and deploying private capital to accelerate the green transition.
