There’s a community effort to help create better habitats along Lake Onalaska’s shores and make better access to businesses on the water.
The Brice Prairie Conservation Association is working on a plan to dredge the lake near Red Pines Bar & Grill.
The project would clear an area for boaters to pass through, as well as create better habitat.
“What the dredging will do is increase the depth and provide overwintering habitat for fish,” said Co-Owner of Red Pines, Michael Todd. “That is something that is sorely needed on the lake.”
