Collier County is getting ready to give its beaches a major refresh.
County commissioners approved $8 million for beach renourishment in Naples, focusing on the stretch from Doctors Pass south to the Naples Pier.
The project will move in phases, with crews aiming to wrap up 60 percent of the work by Thanksgiving and the rest just before Christmas.
