Upgrades to the Broadwater Parklands boat ramp are set to commence early May 2025 and be completed by July 2025.
The Gold Coast Waterways Authority (GCWA) will be repairing the two boat ramps and replacing the three floating walkways at Fisherman’s Lawn to improve access to the waterways for recreational users
During the construction works, the boat ramps will be partially closed for approximately eight (8) weeks to provide sufficient time for the demolition and repairs to occur.
There will also be some access limitations to the boat ramp and floating walkways, however one lane of the boat ramp will always remain open.
The project is part of our $50.4 million investment in construction and upgrade projects to improve access to the Gold Coast waterways through the Waterways Management Program 2024-2028.
The Broadwater Parklands facility is a popular destination for the community on the Gold Coast when launching vessels and supporting recreational activities such as water skiing, fishing and waterway access.
