After successfully guiding the company through a prepackaged Chapter 11 restructuring and recapitalization, Mark Knoy is to step down as President and CEO of Jeffersonville, Ind.-headquartered American Commercial Barge Lines Inc.
In an e-mail to employees he wrote that he is retiring to spend “more time with my family.”
“I have wrestled with this decision for the last few years,” he added. “I’ve always desired to leave ACBL in good order, and I think now is the right time.”
ACBL’s board of directors will announce a new president and CEO in the coming days. Knoy will help assist in the transition until the end of the year.
