The Western Dredging Association (WEDA) is pleased to support the development of a new State Dredging Working Group lead by Genevieve Clifton, Director – Office of Maritime Resources and Construction Support, NJDOT
Across the 🇺🇸 United States 🇺🇸, state-led dredging programs operate under a wide range of structures, funding models, and regulatory frameworks. This diversity presents a valuable opportunity to share knowledge, compare approaches, and strengthen program delivery nationwide.
The working group will provide a forum for state practitioners and partners to exchange:
Program structures and governance models
Contracting and procurement practices
Lessons learned and operational challenges
Sediment management and dredging techniques
An initial kickoff session will take place at the upcoming WEDA Summit in Montreal:
Thursday, July 23
7:30 – 8:20 AM
Breakfast Working Session
WEDA welcomes participation from state agencies involved in dredging and waterway management.
