VARD, a subsidiary of the FINCANTIERI Group; one of the major global designers and shipbuilders of specialized vessels, is pleased to announce that Roy Arne Stavik is appointed as SVP, Governmental Defense Program – to further reinforcing VARD’s focus on the naval segment.
Effective May 1, 2026, Stavik is appointed SVP, Governmental Defense Program, supporting VARD’s ambition to be a trusted, long-term partner to Norway’s defense sector.
In this role, Stavik will engage with key stakeholders to ensure VARD’s strategy to win the forthcoming defense programs is successfully executed. To further strengthen the focus on the naval segment mainly in Norway, a dedicated Business Unit will be established focusing on the forthcoming opportunities, – especially the Norwegian standardized vessels program in Norway.
