Siem Industries orders two offshore subsea construction vessels at Fujian Mawei

Posted on November 2, 2026

Siem Industries has ordered two Offshore Subsea Construction Vessels (OSCVs) at Fujian Mawei Shipbuilding in China, with delivery scheduled for 2029 and 2030.

Each vessel will be equipped with one 400-tonne AHC subsea crane plus one 50mt AHC subsea crane, providing substantial lifting capacity for subsea construction and offshore support operations.

Designed by Sirius Design & Integration in close cooperation with the Siem team and the shipyard, the vessels will measure approximately 145 metres in length, with a beam of 27 metres. The design focuses on operational flexibility and energy efficiency, enabling the vessels to support a broad range of activities across the offshore energy sectors.

The order represents a further commitment by Siem Industries to the offshore subsea sector, building on our experience in the ownership and operation of specialised offshore vessels.
