Rohde Nielsen has successfully completed capital dredging works as part of the renovation of the entrance channel to the Port of Łeba, Poland, supporting improved navigational safety and long-term harbour operability.
Approximately 225,000 m³ of sediment was dredged from the entrance channel, harbour approach and associated navigational areas to achieve the required design depths. The project forms a key part of the port modernisation works aimed at reducing wave penetration, mitigating recurring siltation and improving access conditions.
Executed by TSHD Magni R, the works also incorporated the beneficial reuse of suitable dredged material for coastal protection and shoreline restoration, contributing to both sustainable infrastructure development and enhanced coastal resilience along the Baltic coast.
