Brier will oversee Ports of Indiana’s engineering, grant development and project delivery staff, while leading initiatives to integrate planning between all departments, increase grant funding, and develop sustainable port projects. She will also serve as liaison to state and federal officials for policy matters.

Brier has a master’s degree in public affairs from Indiana University Purdue University Indianapolis and a bachelor’s degree from Purdue University.

As INDOT’s Multimodal Director, Brier led a team of 21 staff members in the Offices of Aviation, Freight, Rail Programs, and Transit, and represented INDOT in collaborative regional efforts addressing a range of multimodal transportation priorities. During her 10 years with INDOT, she also served as Freight Manager and Innovation & Enhancement Performance Analyst. Prior to that she spent a decade with IDEM in various roles leading quality management planning, continuous improvement activities, and hazardous waste and recycling grant programs.
