The dredging project, under the direction of Wynn Construction, has started the first stage of the projects, Waurika Lake Master Conservancy District Manager Dave Taylor said.
“At the end of the (project) we will have removed all the silt from the intake channel,” he said, “replaced the six intake gates – which are basically valves – and from the bottom gate we are going to run a pipeline to the middle of the lake where it’s deepest. There, we will build a floating structure on that.”
