Fiji is expected to engage on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with India’s Ministry of Shipping not only to strengthen the close relations of the two countries, but to benefit from enormous opportunities available in India.
This is one of the points highlighted at last week’s Maritime India Summit held at Bombay Convention and Exhibition Centre, Goregaon, Mumbai, India.
Fiji was represented at this summit that included the Permanent Secretary for Public Enterprise, David Kolitagane, Fiji Ports Corporation Limited chief executive officer, Vajira Piyasena and Fiji’s acting High Commissioner to India, Sakeasi Waikere.
