Fight for permanent dredge in Swansea Channel continues after project misses out in state budget

For many years, the NSW Opposition has pushed for a permanent solution to the dredging of Swansea Channel in Lake Macquarie.

The community were hoping for some funding from the 2020 State Budget – but, that didn’t happen.

So, with the issue likely to continue, what impact is this going to have on the local economy?

ABC Newcastle’s Ben Homer spoke to Geoff Edman, Commodore of the Lake Macquarie Cruising Yacht Club, to find out.
