Dredge America, Inc. is pleased to announce that effective October 19th, 2020, Samuel B. Robinson, P.E., has been appointed as the company’s President. Sam has been a key member of the Dredge America team since 2012 and will be succeeding Founder and CEO Daniel McDougal.
Graduating with a Masters in Civil Engineering, Sam has been an integral part of the leadership team since the start of his professional career, helping Dredge America expand into new markets and diversify their services. He is a driven strategist with extraordinary technical expertise in the dredging field. He fosters a culture of safety and teamwork on every project and is passionate about seeing his team reach their full potential. Beyond Dredge America, Sam thrives on working with other dredging contractors on cutting edge technologies and methods to further the dredging industry as a whole.
On announcing Sam’s promotion, Daniel McDougal, CEO said, “I am confident that Sam’s continued leadership will take Dredge America to the next level as we continue to grow in the dredging industry.”

Dan will remain the Board Chairman and CEO and plans to shift his focus to long term strategy, business development and industry consulting.
