DP World has achieved a significant milestone in the development of the Sokhna Logistics Park, with 65% of the first phase now complete. The $80 million, state-of-the-art logistics hub, strategically positioned in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), aims to enhance Egypt’s logistics infrastructure and solidify its role as a key regional trade hub.
Covering 300,000 square meters, the facility is designed to deliver cost-effective, integrated supply chain solutions, leveraging DP World’s extensive global network. Slated for completion in June 2025, the park will boost efficiency, lower logistics costs, and improve connectivity between Egypt, the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
Located just 10 kilometers from Sokhna Port, the park provides direct access to Greater Cairo’s key markets and major industrial zones. Its strategic position will help businesses reduce operational costs and streamline cargo movements for greater efficiency.
Built to the highest international standards, the park will support industries such as agriculture, pharmaceuticals, retail, automotive, and textiles. It will include bonded and non-bonded warehouses, office spaces, open cargo yards, and container storage. Logistics services will encompass warehousing, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and value-added offerings like labeling, coding, sorting, packing, and inspection.
Ranjit Ray, Senior Vice President, Economic Zones, MENA region, DP World, stated:
“We are pleased with our progress and remain committed to completing the first phase in the coming months. The facility will support a broad range of cargo across imports, exports, and transit and will be fully integrated with DP World’s operations at Sokhna Port. With access to DP World’s global trade infrastructure, the park will provide cost-effective supply chain solutions for both local and international businesses.”
The new facility has already attracted interest from both local and international markets, including companies operating in Dubai’s Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA) seeking to expand regionally.
