MOBILE, Ala. (WALA) – The Department of War, formerly the Pentagon, announced on its website a contract has been awarded for maintenance dredging in the Mobile Harbor.
The announcement Thursday says Norfolk Dredging Co. of Chesapeake, Virginia, was awarded a $45,741,737 firm-fixed-price contract for maintenance dredging in the Mobile Harbor, Alabama.
It also says work will be performed in Irvington, Alabama, with an estimated completion date of Jan. 16, 2027.
