Curtin Maritime, a leading provider of marine transportation and construction services, is pleased to announce that John Huit has joined the company as Vice President of Dredging. In his new role, John will be responsible for leading the company’s dredging operations, managing the fleet of dredging vessels, and ensuring that Curtin Maritime continues to deliver the highest quality services to its clients.
John brings over 25 years of experience in the maritime construction industry to Curtin Maritime, having spent the last eight years as a Senior Project Manager at Great Lakes Dock & Dredge after holding several management roles with Parsons Water & Infrastructure, Weeks Marine, and Durocher Dock & Dredge. He has worked on a variety of projects, from maintenance and renourishment dredging operations to large-scale port expansions, channel Deepenings, and other capital dredging projects, and has a proven track record of success in the industry.

As Vice President of Dredging, John will work closely with Curtin Maritime’s project teams and crews to ensure that every project is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest possible standards. He will also be responsible for managing the company’s dredging vessels and ensuring that they are operated safely and effectively. As Vice President, he will also serve as a critical member of Curtin’s Executive leadership team.
