India’s Adani Group has announced plans to construct a new port at the central Vietnamese city of Danang.
Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone (APSEZ), the group’s port company, has secured an “in-principle approval from the Vietnamese government” for the greenfield project, according to Karan Adani, CEO of APSEZ.
The proposed port project, Adani’s fourth overseas, will feature container terminals and multipurpose berths.
The group has laid out plans to double its overseas port holdings by 2030 with further investment announcements expected soon.
