Waterways Council Plans to Issue Report on Changing the “Trajectory of Inland Navigation Modernization”

Over the past 28 years, the U.S. inland navigation system, the arteries of American commerce, has seen only THREE mega project completions.

Meanwhile, every year of delay on new inland waterways locks costs commercial barge traffic an estimated $875 million in foregone benefits (U.S. GAO, 2017).

This isn’t a contractor problem. It isn’t a funding problem. It’s a **program delivery** problem. And it’s fixable.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll share a framework — developed in a new white paper, that could change the trajectory of inland navigation modernization.
