The Vishwa Samudra Dredging division is proud to order another dredger, VISHWA DHAN (Beagle 8 Mk2), from Royal IHC of the Netherlands, which was inaugurated at the Royal IHC Shipping Facility in Kinderdijk on December 14, 2025 with the laying of the keel by VS Group Chairman Chinta Sasidhar. It started with a Pooja, followed by the keel being laid carefully positioning the first modular section of the vessel on top of a coin, a traditional symbol of good fortune for the vessel and her crew. The keel is the backbone of the vessel and this moment marks the official start of the assembly of the vessel.
VISHWA DHAN (meaning Vishwa Prosperity) is a trailing suction hopper dredger with a hopper capacity of 8.000m3 with an overall length of 106m. The delivery is planned to happen in mid-2027.
