VARD is happy to announce that NB 978 for Island Offshore has departed from Vard Shipyards Romania – Tulcea and its now on her way to Vard Langsten in Norway. 🎉
This vessel is a VARD 3 25 design developed in close collaboration between Island Offshore and VARD. It is designed for best possible station-keeping, manoeuvrability, and sea-keeping abilities. The design allows for flexible configuration and versatility depending on the specific operations to be performed.
The hull is optimized for efficient operations, and the vessel is also prepared for alternative low emission fuel, contributing to more sustainable operations at sea.
She is a true token on Vard Group and FINCANTIERI`s ability to design and build the vessels for tomorrow today.
This vessel is the 41st build for Island Offshore and is the sister vessel of NB 977 also under construction. NB 978 is on her way to Norway now and scheduled delivery is in Q1 2027.
