On August 21st we celebrated the launching of NB 988, an Offshore Subsea Construction Vessel being built for Dong Fang Offshore 東方風能 (DFO), Taiwan. The launching marks an important milestone in the construction of the vessel and a moment of great pride for everyone who has contributed to the project. 🚢
The hull has been built at Vard Shipyards Romania – Braila and will now continue its journey to Vard Søviknes in Norway. Here, the final outfitting, commissioning, and delivery will take place. The delivery is scheduled for Q2 2027. ⭐
The launching is a big milestone for VARD bringing together colleagues from both Romania and Norway. They have again demonstrated the strength of the VARD integrated value chain and the importance of working together as OneTeam.
