Together with representatives from Ecowende, NedZero – Wind Energy Association and Stichting De Noordzee, we discussed the important role offshore wind plays in accelerating the Dutch energy transition.
As one of the fastest scalable sources of renewable energy, offshore wind is a strategic asset for the Netherlands. It delivers large volumes of clean electricity, strengthens energy security, and contributes to economic growth and competitiveness.
The visit demonstrated how Ecowende is working to develop offshore wind in harmony with nature, bringing together governments, developers, contractors, grid operators, nature organisations and supply chain partners, all playing a part in delivering the offshore wind ambitions needed for a sustainable energy future.
As the newest addition to our offshore fleet, Boreas demonstrates the long-term investment, expertise and innovation required to help deliver the next generation of offshore wind projects.
