The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will design and construct upgrades to the waterfront infrastructure at the US Coast Guard Yard in Curtis Bay, MD, to prepare the Yard for a new generation of Coast Guard cutters.
The requirement will be awarded as a competitive, Firm-Fixed-Price #contract using a two-phase Design-Build to Budget methodology, with a planned construction period of 1,005 calendar days. Phase 1 (the Request for Contractor Qualifications) closes June 22, 2026. Interested firms can review the full solicitation via SAM: https://lnkd.in/eA-69ZvM
The Offshore Patrol Cutter and National Security Cutter are anticipated to arrive at the Yard beginning in 2030. These vessels require greater water depths than the current infrastructure can support. This project will modernize the waterfront so the Yard can berth, maintain, repair, and dry-dock them.
