Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming delegation from our parent company to VARD locations in Romania and Norway, bringing valuable opportunities for dialogue and sharing insights.
The delegation consisted of the Chairman of #FINCANTIERI Biagio Mazzotta, CEO of Fincantieri Pierroberto Folgiero, Chairman of VARD Alberto Maestrini, EVP Operations, Corporate Strategy and Innovation of Fincantieri Claudio Cisilino and Head of Project Management Office of Fincantieri Alessandro Marchini.
In Romania, the visit included meetings with the management teams in Tulcea and Brăila, represented by General Manager Claudio Taboga, together with yard directors Laurențiu-Daniel Rusinoiu and Simona-Alina Puia.
The delegation explored key production areas such as prefabrication, pipe workshop, syncrolift, and ongoing operations, gaining a closer understanding of capabilities and development areas.
The program continued in Norway at Vard Søviknes, where the delegation toured the yard and visited Prysmian Alessandro Volta, the most innovative cable laying vessel in the market, currently under construction for Prysmian, global cable solutions provider leading the energy transition and digital transformation, offering further perspective on project execution and vessel construction.
During the visit, they were accompanied by the VARD management team, including CEO Cathrine Kristiseter Marti, COO Erik Hellan Sandnes, SVP Finance, Business Development, IT and Cyber Giovanni Peditto and his successor Marco Galbiati, SVP HR and Organization Salvatore Savinelli, General Counsel Marianne Blindheim, SVP Yard Director Gjerde Arnt Inge, VP Project Manager Per Gunnar Søvik, and Honorary Consul of Italy to Norway Nina Otterlei.
The visits created a strong platform for exchanging perspectives, strengthening collaboration, and identifying opportunities for continued development across the Group.
