Southern Contracting LLC,* Biloxi, Mississippi, was awarded a $22,999,774 firm-fixed-price contract for coastwide beach and dune ecosystem restoration. Bids were solicited via the internet with nine received. Work will be performed in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, with an estimated completion date of May 4, 2027. Fiscal 2022 civil construction, funds in the amount of $14,949,853; and fiscal 2026 cost share with Hancock County Rivers and Harbors contributed funds in the amount of $8,049,921, were obligated at the time of the award. U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Mobile, Alabama, is the contracting activity (W91278-26-C-A017).
