Respected salvage master Captain Nick Sloane has joined Fort Lauderdale, Florida-based salvors Resolve Marine Group as the firm’s new director.
Captain Sloane has more than thirty years of experience as a salvage master and project manager, with a deep portfolio of past operations around the globe, from fire and flooding response to rig operations and pipelaying. He is a member of Lloyd’s Panel of Special Casualty Representatives, and is perhaps best known for his role – alongside the late Capt. Rich Habib – as senior salvage master for the raising of the Costa Concordia, the most expensive and complex salvage operation in history. His other high-profile projects include the AD-19, Tasman Spirit, Jolly Rubino, Ikan Tanda, Treasure, Sealand Express, CP Valour, and the Kota Kado.
