The first vessel in OMS Group’s new GREAT-Class fleet is beginning to take shape. CS Genesis, a next-generation fibre optic cable lay vessel, is currently under construction at our partner shipyard, Pacific Shipbuilding JSC, in Vietnam.
During a recent visit, our COO, Bert Jan ter Riet, joined OMS Group Founder and Chairman, Datuk Lim Soon Foo, to see the latest progress and mark another important milestone in the delivery of CS Genesis.
CS Genesis and sister vessel, CS Triumph, will become the first members of the GREAT-Class fleet, developed to support the growing demand for subsea digital infrastructure. Designed with two large cable tanks, dual firing lines and an advanced energy storage system, CS Genesis and CS Triumph will deliver increased cable installation capacity and improved operational efficiency.
With the delivery of CS Genesis planned for 2027, we’re excited to see these vessels coming to life!
