Registration Open For The Seminar On Dredging & Reclamation In Delft: 3-7 July 2023

Posted on March 27, 2023

With the collaboration of IHE Delft Institute for Water Education, the 5-day Seminar on Dredging and Reclamation will be held from 3-7 July 2023 in Delft (NL).

FOR WHOM

Are you a stakeholder involved in port activities? Are you a consultant for off-shore or infrastructure projects? Are you a student looking to enter the sector of dredging? Do you find the term “dredging” mysterious and intriguing and would like to learn more about the basics of dredging?

If you said yes to any of the above questions, then you may be interested in joining IADC for its Dredging and Reclamation seminar. For five days, learn about an array of dredging topics in a series of lectures and workshops with peers in the same boat. Discover the key differences between different types of dredging equipment, the methods they employ and why rainbows appear when a TSHD vessel unloads sand. Learn the ins-and-outs of cost estimates and contracts. The seminar provides a broad foundation of knowledge and a well-rounded understanding of this essential industry.

WHY TO ATTEND?

On behalf of IADC, the seminar is given by experts from world leading dredging contractors like Boskalis, DEME, Jan De Nul and Van Oord. Course leader Pieter den Ridder (Boskalis) explains below why there is no other dredging seminar that includes workshop exercises covering a complete tender process, from start to finish. The seminar includes also a site visit to the shipyard of dredging contractor or dredging project.

ABOUT

The seminar was conceived by IADC to benefit the activities of future decision makers and their advisors in governments, port and harbour authorities, off-shore companies and other organisations in the execution of dredging projects. Since 1993 this week-long seminar has been successfully presented all over the world. As is appropriate to the dynamic-nature of the industry, the seminar programme is continually updated. Over five days, the course strives to increase the potential for successful completion of a dredging project. This understanding is conveyed through lectures given by experts in the field as well as workshops to give participants a hands-on experience applying the learned material in a realistic scenario.
