The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers at Pomme de Terre Lake will host a Shoreline Management Plan scoping meeting from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 8, at the Pomme de Terre Project Office.
The Shoreline Management Plan for Pomme de Terre Lake establishes policy and furnished guidelines for the protection and preservation of the desirable environmental characteristics of the shoreline while maintaining a balance between public and private shoreline use.
Those interested in the future of shoreline activity use around Pomme de Terre Lake are invited to attend the public scoping meeting. The intent of the meeting is to share information about the process and to collect public comments concerning shoreline activity around the lake. The meeting format will provide attendees with an informational overview on the Shoreline Management Plan process and Corps of Engineers staff can answer questions regarding this plan process. Participants may attend at their convenience.
Comments will be accepted through Sept. 16. They can be emailed to Pomme.De-Terre@usace.army.mil or mailed to U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pomme de Terre Project Office, Rt. 2 Box 2160, Hermitage MO 65668.
