Ports America signs 10-year Jacksonville terminal deal

Posted on September 2, 2026

Ports America has signed a 10-year agreement with Trailer Bridge covering stevedoring operations and a new terminal operating system at the carrier’s Jacksonville facility.

The agreement, which took effect on August 31 and carries two additional five-year extension options, supports Trailer Bridge’s Jones Act cargo operation linking Jacksonville with San Juan in Puerto Rico.

Ports America will provide stevedoring services at the Jacksonville terminal and immediately begin implementing its Dockworks terminal operating platform across Trailer Bridge’s operations.

The new system is scheduled to be rolled out to customers in 2027, providing greater cargo visibility and linking terminal activities more closely with Trailer Bridge’s wider shipping and logistics operations.
