The ongoing collaboration between Process Flow Intelligence (PFI) and Krohne France took a decisive step forward, early last month, through the highly successful commissioning of an i-Flow Density Meter aboard the Gambe d’Amfard, a hopper dredger operated by HAROPA PORT | Le Havre, France. The Gambe d’Amfard was built by Damen Shipyards and is owned by GIE Dragages-Ports and operates exclusively in the Port of Le Havre, France.
As a basis for comparison, the i-Flow Density Meter was installed next to an industry-standard nuclear densitometer and a KROHNE electromagnetic flow meter and has shown excellent results. Commenting on the i-Flow Density Meter’s performance, Haropa Port said: “The tests are conclusive and the measurements are reliable.”
Last month’s commissioning follows on from a previous successful collaboration with KROHNE France aboard a dredger built by PIRIOU and operated near the Occitanie region on France’s Mediterranean coast.
