How do we bring down the cost of offshore wind by 30 % over the next decade?
That was one of the key questions being discussed at WindEnergy Hamburg this week.
With 1,600 exhibitors from 40 countries, the event brought together suppliers, developers, and partners from across the industry to discuss the future of offshore wind.
For Ørsted, the event is an opportunity to explore the innovations that will shape tomorrow’s projects and strengthen the partnerships needed to make offshore wind even more competitive.
As Alana Kühne, Head of Europe Development at Ørsted, says: “For Ørsted, WindEnergy Hamburg is about meeting with our suppliers and partners. By having these conversations now, we can better understand how their innovations can help shape the projects we have coming up over the next couple of years.”
And as Anders Hylleberg, Head of Offshore Procurement at Ørsted, adds:
“We’ve had great discussions with our suppliers about how we can help drive more predictability for our industry to make the right decisions and investments to bring down the cost of offshore wind by 30 % over the next 10 years.”
